Magdy has been manning his food cart for twenty years. Born and raised in Egypt, Magdy came to the US as a student to study law. As he says, “First, I fell in love with this country and then with my wife…and everything changed.” After a successful career in the restaurant business, Magdy decided to open a food cart to work for himself (rather a landlord) and to spend more time with his family and friends. They now work by his side. Although the lunch line can be long, it does not discourage hungry customers despite other available options. Located at 46th and Park in Manhattan, Magdy’s cheese steak sandwiches are a favorite of his dedicated and loyal followers.
